LUBBOCK, Texas - Coming off its first tournament win in two years, the Texas Tech Men's Golf team continued its strong play into the first day of competition at the Aggie Invitational in College Station, Texas as the Red Raiders sit in third place after 36 holes.

The Tigers of LSU finished atop the leaderboard at Traditions Golf Club, one stroke ahead of host Texas A&M at 16-over and just six strokes in front of the Red Raiders.

Clement Sordet, fresh off his first tournament title of the season last week, led the way for head coach Greg Sands as the junior finished even par with a 2-over 74 in the first round before wrapping up the day with a 2-under 70. Sordet enters Sunday's final round tied for seventh place individually, just three knocks off leader Brandon Hagy from California in first place.

Junior Henry Todd finished the 36-hole day in a tie for 14th place overall thanks to a solid even-par performance in the second round, bringing his total to 147 while Matias Dominguez turned in a 77 and 75 on the scorecard.

The final round of play will begin Sunday with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. Hannes Ronneblad will be the first off the tee box for the Red Raiders at 8:40 a.m.
