ARDMORE, Okla. - The Texas Tech men's golf team heads into the final round today sitting in sixth place after shooting a 36-hole score of 586 (304, 282) Saturday in The Maxwell Tournament hosted by the University of Oklahoma in Ardmore, Okla.

Leading the Red Raiders is senior Kyle Willmann whose second-round score of 64 set records for lowest round ever and best second round in the tourney's 11-year history. Willmann finished the first round in third place after carding a one-under-par 139 (75). Teammate David Bolen sits in a four-way tie at 20th after shooting a six-over-par 146 (76, 70).

Junior Mark Hull shot a nine-over-par 149 (76, 73) to tie for 31st, while sophomores Brooks Kelly and Brad Jacobson struggled in the first round of play. Kelly tied for 58th after shooting a 36-hole score of 156 (77, 79) and Jacobson shot a two-round total of 159 (84, 75) to sit in a tie at 60th.

The final round of play is currently underway for Tech at the Dornick Hills Country Club. Final results will be available later today.
