ARDMORE, Okla. - The Texas Tech men's golf team wrapped up its regular season shooting a 54-hole score of 877 (304, 282, 291) to finish in sixth place at The Maxwell Tournament hosted by the University of Oklahoma in Ardmore, Okla.

Senior Kyle Willmann, whose second-round score of 64 on Saturday set two new records in the tourney's 11-year history, remained at one-under-par 209 (75, 64, 70) to move up a spot in a tie for second place. Junior Mark Hull moved up the boards after shooting a nine-over-par 219 (76, 73, 70) to tie for 22nd.

David Bolen struggled in the final round shooting a 77 for a three-round total of 223 (76, 70), dropping from the top 20 to 34th place. Sophomore Brooks Kelly shot a 54-hole score of 230 (77, 79, 74) to move up six spots in a tie for 53rd while teammate Brad Jacobson finished in 61st place after shooting a combined score of 236 (84, 75, 77).

Oklahoma State University maintained its lead from round one Saturday to win the team title with a three-round total of 853 (283, 282, 288). The University of Houston trailed four strokes behind in second place with tournament host Oklahoma finishing in third place with a 859 (291, 282, 286).

Tech will compete May 16-18 in the NCAA West Regional in Albuquerque, N.M., against 26 top-ranked teams.
