Men's Golf Sits In Ninth Place Headed Into Final Round Of Jack Nicklaus Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's golf team finished the first day of the Jack Nicklaus Invitational at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio in ninth place after completing two rounds. Junior Finley Ewing IV led the Red Raiders after shooting a two-over 74 in the opening round and a 72 in the second round, putting him in a tie for 15th. Freshman Matias Dominguez shot an 80 to start the day but rebounded with a 71 to put him in a tie for 34th while sophomore Logan McCracken finished tied for 39th and eight over for the tournament. Freshman Clement Sordet rounded out the first day finishing in 46th place at 11 over. Ohio State sits atop the leaderboard at two under while Kent State and Texas are tied for second at one under after 36 holes. The final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. with tee times beginning from the first and 10th tee boxes.
