Red Raiders Fall to 13th After Second Round

WINDERMERE, Fla - The Texas Tech men's golf team struggled in the second round of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational on Monday, as it dropped three spots by shooting a team total of 308.

With a combined two-day score of 608, the Red Raiders find themselves in 13th place and 29 shots behind tournament leader California.

After putting up the best first round score for Tech on Sunday, Esteban Restrepo shot a 77 to bring his two-day total to 149, dropping him from a seventh place tie to a tie for 28th.

Leading the Red Raiders in the second round was Clement Sordet who shot a 75 to move up four spots into a tie for 46th with a total score of 152.

Finley Ewing IV had a tough day, as his score did not make it on the Tech scorecard by shooting 80 on the day. His two-day total of 154 dropped him from a tied from 22nd to a tie for 57th.

Rounding out the scorecard for the Red Raiders was Henry Todd with a 77 and Matias Dominguez who shot a 79 on Monday.

The final round of the tournament will get underway at 8 a.m. CT Tuesday at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. To follow along with the action go to for live scoring.
