WINDERMERE, Fla. - Despite bogeys at Nos. 11 and 14, Texas Tech junior Nils Floren held onto fourth place and is four shots off of the lead at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. The Red Raiders sit in sixth place, three strokes out of the top five and 19 behind tournament leader and top-ranked Oklahoma State.

Floren birdied No. 3, but followed with bogeys at 4 and 5, before birdying No. 7 to get back to even. He erased a bogey at No. 9 with a birdie at 10, but the bogeys at 11 and 14 dropped him above par. Sophomore Brian Scherer improved five spots and is tied in 18th place. Scherer was 1-under after 13 holes, carded bogeys at Nos. 15 and 18.

"The way these pins are out here, we have to be patient," Scherer said. "I think I've only had three birdies and I need to make more birdies. We need to stay patient. We need to have a lot confidence to get the scores."

Freshman Finley Ewing followed his opening-round 72 with a 77 Monday and dropped to a 24th-place tie, while true freshman Drew Dorsey is tied in 62nd place after today's round of 69. Senior Chris Ward's struggles continued with a 79 today, placing him in a 66th-place tie.

Oklahoma State (291-289--580) fired a 1-over 289 Monday to move into a four-stroke lead over Florida (292-292--584). First-round leader Stanford (289-300--589) dropped to third and is nine strokes back. Alabama (299-293--592) moved up two spots to fourth place, while TCU (290-306--596) dropped three spots to fifth. Texas Tech (296-303--599) is sixth, followed by Georgia (304-297--601), South Carolina (302-301--603), Illinois (306-297--603) and Clemson (307-298--605). UCF (308-298--606) is 11th and East Tennessee State (309-299--608) and Arizona State (301-307--608) are tied in 12th, while Washington (308-301--609) and Kentucky (317-311--628) is 15th.
