WINDERMERE, Texas - Texas Tech Nils Floren fired a 1-over 73 Tuesday en route to a third-place finish at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. The Red Raider junior has two top five finishes in three talent-laden events this season.

Following bogeys at Nos. 5 and 9, Floren made the turn at 2-over and had slipped to sixth place from his fourth-place starting position. He managed to gain a stroke back on the second nine after alternating three birdies and two bogeys on holes 12 through 16.

Sophomore Brian Scherer finished in a 25th-place tie after shooting a 78 Tuesday and finishing with a 10-over 226.
