Less than two weeks after completing its first tournament of the spring season, the Texas Tech Men's Golf team hits the links again Monday for the first of two consecutive tournaments in Palm Springs, Calif.

Texas Tech opens play in the 13th Annual Prestige at PGA West on Monday morning on the Greg Norman Course. The three-day tournament features 15 collegiate teams, including Stirling University of Scotland, the birthplace of golf.

The Red Raiders are one of seven teams competing in this event that are ranked in the latest Golfstat rankings. No. 2 UCLA, No. 4 Washington and No. 10 USC are all three ranked in the Top 10 while Stanford sits at No. 12, TCU at No. 15 and Oklahoma State at No. 16.

Other teams scheduled to compete in the powerful tournament include No. 53 Arizona State and No. 57 Oregon. Co-host UC Davis is 52nd. San Diego State, Colorado and Fresno State are other teams ranked in the top 100 while Pepperdine is just outside that group.

Texas Tech is led by sophomore Clement Sordet and senior Finley Ewing IV. Sordet paced the Red Raiders in their last outing earlier this month with a tie for 17th place at the Ameri Ari.
