The No. 43 Texas Tech Men's Golf team returns to the links just six days following the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters when the Red Raiders head to the state capital this weekend for the 46th Annual Morris Williams Intercollegiate. Tournament play begins on Friday at the UT Golf Club with the first two rounds (36 holes) followed by Saturday's third and final round (18 holes). The entire tournament can be followed live on golfstat.com with daily recaps at texastech.com. "We are looking forward to this tournament," said head coach Greg Sands. "We have enjoyed much success there over the last 4-5 years and I think the guys are excited to play the No. 1 team in the country on their home course. I feel like we had a great few days of practice and will be ready to go this weekend." Texas Tech enters the Morris Williams Intercollegiate following a 13th place finish at one of the most challenging tournaments of the season this past weekend at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters. The Red Raiders finished second at last year's Morris Williams Intercollegiate behind tournament host Texas. The Longhorns enter the weekend ranked No. 1 in the country according to the latest rankings from Golfweek Magazine. The tournament features 12 teams, including seven in the national Top 50. Sophomore Logan McCracken led the Red Raiders in Las Vegas last weekend as he finished tied for fifth in what was his second top five finish of the season. He is currently fourth on the squad in stroke average (74.2) behind Clement Sordet (73.0), Finley Ewing IV (73.4) and Matias Dominguez (74.1). TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
