Texas Tech Men's Golf Finishes 12th at Dr Pepper at Tanglewood
March 28, 1999 POTTSBORO, Texas - The Texas Tech men's golf team has finished in 12th place after the final round of play today at the Dr Pepper at Tanglewood Intercollegiate in Pottsboro, Texas. The Red Raiders shot a combined 299 on the day, their lowest round of the tournament, to record a final score of 909. The University of Minnesota won the tournament with a score of 854. Philip Tate, who was tied for 25th coming into today's play, put together an excellent round of 71 to finish tied with Ryan Miller of Purdue and Andrew Champman of Michigan for 17th place. He led all Texas Tech golfers on the weekend. Luke Donald of Northwestern was the leader of the tournament with a 206. Texas Tech travels to Little Rock, Arkansas, next weekend to play at the Copy Systems-Toshiba Copiers Tourmanet.
