LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's golf team begins play in the Copy Systems/Toshiba Copiers Collegiate Championship on Monday, April 5 with 36 holes at the 7069 yard Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Arkansas. Play begins at 8:00 am.

Texas-Arlington won last year's tournament with a 54-hole score of 878. Magnus Dohlvik, from Texas-San Antonio was the medalist with a one-under-par 215.

For the first time, this tournament will be a part of the Rolex Collegiate Tour, which is a 200-plus event tour that includes over 100 men's and nearly 100 women's national and regional golf tournaments across the country. Arkansas-Little Rock is the host school.

Tech is coming of a 12th place finish at the Dr. Pepper at Tanglewood Intercollegiate tournament. Philip Tate was the Red Raiders top finisher and tied for 17th overall.

The two-day tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday, April 6 with the first tee-off time slated for 8:00 am.
