LUBBOCK, Texas - The Big 12 Conference released its 2002 Men's Golf Academic All-Big 12 Team honoring 30 student-athletes for their academic achievements. Twenty student-athletes received first-team honors with 10 on the second-team, including Tech's Mark Hull.

The 6-foot junior was named to the All-Big 12 second-team, receiving his first academic honor as a Red Raider. Hull is a junior from San Antonio, Texas, with an undecided major in the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business.

To qualify student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 grade point average or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of the team's scheduled contests. First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.2 or better grade-point average, while the second-team are those who have a 3.0 to 3.19 GPA. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
