SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Former Texas Tech golfer Brad Ott shot an 8-under 64 on Sunday to win the Nationwide Tour's Price Cutter Charity Championship for his first Nationwide victory.

Ott set a tournament record with his four-round total of 25-under 263, beating Brandt Snedecker by a stroke. Ott's previous best finish on tour was second in Clearwater in 2002. The win on Sunday was his 94th start on tour.

"I've come close so many times," Ott said. "I started doubting myself if I would do it but I guess I proved myself today."

Ott, a 1992 graduate began his career at Tech in 1990 when he transferred in as a sophomore from Paris Junior College. Before coming to Tech, he led Paris JC as the number one golfer at a school that was in the National Junior College rankings as 7th.

During Ott's time at Tech he claimed one tournament title at the Sugar Tree Invitational in the fall of 1990. He twice finished second, his first coming in the fall of 1989 at the Coody Invitational and his second at the Columbia Invitational in the fall of 1991. His lowest round as a Red Raider was a 70, which he shot four times throughout his career. Ott finished his Tech career with a 74.89 career stroke-average.
