Men's Tennis to Face Abilene Christian
LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will return home for the first time in two weeks when it takes on Abilene Christian University Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Athletic Training Center.
Texas Tech is 2-1 on the season following a 6-1 loss at 22nd-ranked New Mexico on February 16. The Red Raiders have played two teams ranked in the nation top 40 and a third, Tyler Junior College, rated as the nation's number JUCO squad. Texas Tech defeated 37th-ranked Arkansas 4-3 in its last home match on Tuesday, February 11.
"We have played a fairly tough schedule and we would like to be 3-0, but that's the breaks," said Director of Tennis Tim Siegel. "We have had a few guys injured and haven't been at full strength. The positive is that we are able to get some other guys some experiences and that can only help once we get to conference action next month."
Admission is free to the public.
