Texas Tech Men's Tennis Falls to Host UCSB Red RaidersSANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- The Texas Tech men's tennis team lost 4-0 to host UC-Santa Barbara in the first round of the UCSB Invitational College Tennis Classic Thursday. With the loss to the 30th-ranked Gauchos, the Texas Tech falls to 5-9 on the season. The Red Raiders face unranked Pacific at 3 p.m. (central) in the consolation bracket, while UCSB advances to take on 34th-ranked Harvard in the second round. The tournament which features nine teams ranked in the top 60 in the nation, continues through Sunday at various sites throughout Santa Barbara. In other tournament tournament action, UNLV defeated Cal Poly SLO 4-0; SMU defeated Oregon 6-1; Colorado defeated Univ. of San Diego 4-1; Washington topped New Mexico 4-0 and Oklahoma State topped Southwest Louisiana 4-0.
