Personal: Born Feb. 12, 1982... son of Rob and Elsbeth de Groot...father owns his own company...has an older sister, Sabine...interests includ sports and having fun...chose Texas Tech because “I think it’s a good environment to do both tennis and college - also the fighter spirit of Coach Siegel made me decide to come here”...enrolled in the School of Arts and Science.
