2008-09: Redshirted.

High School: Graduated from Coronado High School in 2008 ... team finished ranked second in Texas 5-A in 2005 and sixth in 2008 ... his sophomore year he was part of the doubles district champions team and placed third in regionals in singles ... his junior year he was part of the doubles district and regional champions team and was runner-up in the state tournament ... runner-up in the state tournament in singles ... his senior year he was part of the mixed doubles district and regional champions team and runner-up in the state tournament ... runner-up in the state tournament in singles ... was in National Honor Society.
