Finished the year 7-5 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 play...played each match either in the first or second position...won two out of three in position No. 1...defeated No.76 Rodrigo Echagaray of Kansas in two-sets...consistently ranked throughout the season in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

1998 - 1999 (Sophomore)
First full year of collegiate tennis after sitting out a year to fulfill eligibility requirments...played almost every match at the No. 1 position for the Red Raiders...finished the spring season witha 13-9 record and was ranked 86th in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings...was ranked in the top 100 for the final month of the season...had four victories over opponents ranked in the top 100 including 22nd ranked Shaun Madden of Texas A&M in the NCAA Tournament...finished season strong, winning his four final matches...finished fall and spring with a combined 17-9 record...teamed with Petar Danolic at the No. 3 doubles position...tandem finished with a 5-5 mark...went 4-0 at the qualifying rounds at the National Clay Court Championships in the fall before withdrawing with appendicitis...singles champion of the Red Raider Open during the fall, losing only one set in five matches...posted the team's top fall record with a 9-0 mark...3-0 in the pre-qualifier and 1-0 in the qualifying round of the National Clay Court Championships.
