2003-04: Concluded the fall with a 3-4 singles record...teamed with Michael Innerebner to go 4-1in doubles ... finished season play in the spring with a 13-10 singles record playing mostly at the No. 3 spot ... concluded Big 12 singles season with a 3-4 record ... went 4-3 in doubles with Bojan Szumanski. Spring 2003: Went 10-9 in singles ... played mostly at the No. 3 spot ... also saw action at No. 2 ... posted a Big 12 mark of 1-5 ... teamed with Alfonso Perez at No. 2 doubles to go 12-7, which was the most doubles victories on the team ... finished Big 12 play with a 1-5 mark in doubles. High School: Graduated in 1998 from Thom Howard Academy. Personal: Born November 3, 1980 ... son of Levent and Tuba Tanik ... has one sister ... enjoys reading, movies, fishing and watching and playing soccer ... Grandfather was a goalie, uncle was a basketball player for the Turkish National Team ... chose Texas Tech because "of Coach Ustundag (former assistant coach). He told me there was an opportunity at Tech for me. I knew he had a lots of knowledge about the game. When I came here, I saw that Coach Siegel and Coach Ustundag were a great match.
