Tech lost the doubles point by losing in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. The No. 3 position was suspended with a score of 8-8.

Today sparked the return of junior co-captain Royce Ramey. He battled in the No. 2 position, but fell short to Louisville's Joachim Lien, 6-3, 6-4. This was Ramey's second match of the season after tearing his rotator cuff in the first match of the season against Abilene Christian. He drops to 1-1 on the year.

Freshman Ben Gudzelak competed in the No. 3 position and defeated Paulo Carvalho in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. He improves his team leading record to 6-2, 0-1.

In the No. 4 position Tech stopped the rhythm of swapping victories with Richard Crabtree winning in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, improving his record to 6-3, 0-1.

Sophomore John Walker fell in position No. 5 to Oliver Lantrell in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. He drops to 5-4, 0-1 on the year.

"I am extremely proud of our team," said head coach Tim Siegel. "They came out today prepared and gave 100 percent effort throughout the match. If they were not on the court they were making an impact by cheering for their teammates."
