No. 41 Texas Tech Blanks BYU, 7-0|
Francisco Zambon picked up a pair of wins to lead Texas Tech past BYU on Saturday.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – No. 41 Texas Tech blanked BYU, 7-0, on Saturday at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex.
“It was a good win for us,” said Red Raider head coach Tim Siegel. “I was pleased with the energy and focus today. We will need an even better performance against a very good New Mexico team on Sunday.”
Texas Tech opened doubles play with a quick win at No. 3, as Maxime Hinnisdaels and Francisco Zambon rolled past Sterling Galli and Jeremy Bourgeois, 8-1. The Red Raiders’ Carlos DiLaura and Johann Willems followed suit with an 8-4 win over Francis Sargeant and Matthew Pearce. BYU picked up a win at No. 1, as Andrey Goryachkov and Robin Pfister topped Felipe Soares and Hugo Dojas, 8-7, but it was too little, too late.
Soares then ran past Sargeant, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 1, while Jolan Cailleau toppled Aiden Carrazedo, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6, giving the Red Raiders a 3-0 lead.
Hinnisdaels then secured the win with a 6-3, 6-3 straight set win over Jacob Sullivan, as Tech led 4-0.
Dojas added a 6-3, 6-4 win over Goryachkov and Willems upended Pfister, 5-7, 6-0, 6-3. Zambon closed out the match with a come-from-behind, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 win over Bourgeois.
Texas Tech returns to action on Sunday, when the Red Raiders face New Mexico at noon CT at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex.
