Men's Tennis Drops Third Straight April 7, 2000 Texas Tech men's tennis team continued on a losing skid by falling to Texas A&M, 4-1 at home in a quick two and half-hour match. The Red Raiders' record drops to 7-10, 1-4 in Big 12, while the Aggies improve to 12-5, 3-1 in Big 12. In position No. 3, Tech received its only victory with Ryan Shupe defeating A&M's No. 87 Cody Hubbell in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. Shupe, on a two-match winning streak, improved his record to 3-9, 2-3 in league play. In position No. 5, Red Raiders' Clay Estes took the Aggies' Ryan Newport to three sets before falling short 6-4, 1-6, 6-1. The Red Raiders slip into sixth place in the Big 12, one-match behind Colorado. Tech looks to rebound against a struggling Nebraska squad Sunday, April 9 at 10 a.m. at the Lubbock High School tennis courts.
