LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech men's tennis players Raony Carvalho and Christian Rojmar dropped their first round match in the doubles consolation bracket of the ITA National Indoor Championships Friday at the University of Virginia.

Michael Johnson and Monte Tucker of the University of Auburn-Montgomery defeated Carvalho and Rojmar, 8-3, to advance to the semifinals of the bracket.

Carvalho and Rojmar will face Nathan Byrnes and Oleksandr Nedovyesov of Oklahoma State at 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the Davenport Doubles Exhibition. The match will be the last for the duo and conclude Tech's fall schedule.
