Tim Siegel begins his 21st season at the helm of the Red Raider program ranked No. 29.

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will enter the spring season as the No. 29 team in the nation in the ITA Tennis Rankings.

Texas Tech is one of four Big 12 Conference teams ranked inside the Top 30, joining No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 15 Baylor and No. 23 Texas.

The Red Raiders have 20 opponents on the 2013 schedule that grace the ITA Top 75, including 10 inside the Top 30.

This marks the 12th consecutive year that the Red Raiders have been ranked in the ITA Top 75 preseason rankings, including six times inside the Top 30.

Texas Tech opens the season Jan. 16 at the McLeod Tennis Center, when the Red Raiders host Texas-Pan American (10 a.m.) and Prairie View A&M (3 p.m.) in a doubleheader.
