LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech men's tennis team will travel to San Diego, Calif., to battle Cal Poly on Fri., Feb. 16, and will turn around on Sat., Feb. 17, to take on the University of San Diego. The Red Raiders enter the weekend with a 1-1 record coming off a 5-2 loss against the University of New Mexico last weekend.

This will be the first meeting between Cal Poly and Tech. The Red Raiders are looking for their first victory against San Diego as they enter the contest 0-4 in the all-time series record.

Tech has been hit by the injury bug with its No. 2 player, junior transfer Royce Ramey out for a month with a slightly torn rotator cuff. Also, sophomore Clay Estes is listed as probable for the weekend.

Following this weekend's matches, the men's tennis team will continue on the road at the University of Texas-Arlington on Fri., Feb. 23.
