LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech men's tennis enters week three on the road traveling to Las Cruces, N.M., for a pair of matches against No. 57 New Mexico and New Mexico State. Play begins on Sat., Feb. 23, against the Lobos at 1 p.m., followed by NMSU on Sun., Feb. 24, at 10 a.m. at the NMSU Tennis Center.

Tech's No. 1 doubles pair of Christian Rojmar and Bojan Szumanski jumped eight spots to No. 2 in the ITA national rankings released today. The duo sits untouched at 5-0 in duals play, 11-3 overall. Szumanski also moved up to No. 49 in singles with a 5-1 duals record, while Ilya Babinciuc made his debut into the rankings at No. 82 with an overall record of 16-9.

Last weekend the Raiders suffered its first loss to No. 46 TCU, 4-3, in Fort Worth, Texas. Looking to improve its 6-1 spring record, Tech will face its fourth ranked opponent this season. No. 35 New Mexico sits 4-4 on the season lead by No. 39-ranked Max Jones in singles. NMSU sits 3-2 after three straight wins over Utah State, North Arizona and Idaho. The Lobos lead the series 4-26, while the Aggies trail 4-21 to the Red Raiders.
