LUBBOCK, Texas - The Red Raiders (3-4, 0-0) come off a win against Centenary to open league play tomorrow when they battle the 20th-ranked Baylor Bears at 1 p.m. at The Tennis Center in Lubbock. The Bears enter the match 5-2, 2-0 in the Big 12.

The Red Raiders are on a three-match win streak at home dating back to April 7, 2000 when they fell to Texas A&M, 4-3. In the 2001 season Tech is 2-0 at home after defeating Abilene Christian to open the season and Centenary last week.

Freshman Ben Gudzelak leads the team by posting a 5-1 record. In the No. 2 position he is posting a 4-1 record in which he just came off a win against Jimmy Allen in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Gudzelak has defeated every opponent, but one in straight sets.

Freshman Richard Crabtree enters the contest on a two-match win streak. He is 5-2 after defeating Chris Collins of Centenary in the No. 3 position, 6-1, 6-0.

Baylor is on a three-match win streak against Tech, but the Red Raiders lead the all-time series 16-7.

Following tomorrow's match the Red Raiders will compete in the annual Corpus Christi Invitational, Friday, March 9 through Sunday, March 11 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
