Men's Tennis Hosts Colorado Sunday
March 18, 2000 LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will host the University of Colorado at the Lubbock High School tennis courts Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Red Raiders enter the match with a record of 6-7 after winning their last two matches against Wisconsin and San Diego. "We had a bad stretch there where we were dealing with some injuries," men's head coach Tim Siegel said. "We played some very good teams and we weren't at full strength. I think we're coming around now. Colorado is a good team and they will certainly give us a good test." Tech is currently 0-1 in Big 12 play after losing 7-0 to Texas a week ago. The Red Raiders will be led by junior Borut Martincevic, owner of a 5-4 record playing mostly at the No. 2 position. Jevgenij Cariov has a 7-2 record for the Red Raiders playing at the No. 3 position. Colorado enters the match with a 7-3 record (1-2 Big 12) and a No. 60 national ranking.
