Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team is set for its biggest challenge of the year as they battle the 2nd-ranked team in the country at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, Saturday at 6 p.m.

Tech will battle fierce competition as it plays against a team that has four ranked players in singles play and two ranked pairs in the doubles competition, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Tech Head Coach Tim Siegel says he is anxious to open conference against one of the best teams in the nation.

"We are looking forward to our first competition in our conference. I think our players have been playing well and are excited about this match also," Siegel said. "I can't wait to see how well we do down in Waco."

The Red Raiders (9-6) will continue conference play as they host their next four opponents at the McLeod Tennis Center. Tech is set to play Texas on Saturday, April 2 at 6 p.m.
