SANTA BARBARA, California - The Texas Tech men's tennis team opened up play today in the Gaucho Tennis Classic in strong fashion. The team defeated California-Santa Barbara 4-0 in their first round matchup. Later in the day, the Red Raiders defeated New Mexico State by the score of 4-0.

Texas Tech plays in the semifinals of the tournament tomorrow versus Boise State at 3:30 CST. If victorious, they would move into Sunday's final versus the the winner of SMU and San Diego State.
