Men's Tennis Travels South
April 4, 2001 LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team looks to get back into conference play against the 5th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies tomorrow at 6 p.m. in College Station, Texas. Tech is coming off a loss against New Mexico State last weekend, 4-3. The Red Raiders, 6-11 overall and 1-3 in league play are in the middle of the pack in Big 12 standings. Richard Crabtree is on a two-match winning streak after defeating opponents from UT-San Antonio and New Mexico State last weekend. He snapped a four-match losing streak with the win against UTSA. He is second on the team with a 9-7 overall record and 0-4 in league play. A&M enters the match ranked fifth in the ITA team rankings and is posting a 17-2 overall record and a first place record in Big 12 action of 4-0. The Aggies lead the all-timeseries at 4-24, however the Red Raiders have won every year that has ended in a one.
The men will return to action on Saturday, April 7 in Austin, Texas, against the University of Texas.
