Men's Tennis in Nebraska for Big 12 Championships|

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech University men's tennis team will spend the week in Lincoln, Nebraska beginning with a 9 a.m. match with the Huskers on Wednesday and concluding with the 1998 Big 12 Conference Men,s Tennis Championships. The two squads will also be pitted against each other in the first round of the tournament. All matches will be played on the Cather-Pound courts on the campus of the University of Nebraska. Wednesday,s contest between the Red Raiders and the Huskers is a rescheduled match from earlier in the season. As both teams carry a 1-7 conference record, the winner will take the No. 8 seed in the Big 12 Tournament brackets, and the looser will enter at No. 9. Both teams will then play each other in the first round of the conference championships at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23. The winner will advance to play Texas at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tech men,s squad moved to No. 60 in the Rolex Collegiate Tennis Rankings released Tuesday. The team currently carries a 9-13 overall record and 1-7 in Big 12 play.
