LUBBOCK, Texas - Improving their chances for a NCAA Tournament bid and shooting for a Conference Championship is the task at hand for the Texas Tech men's tennis team as they travel to College Station, Texas, for the Big 12 Championship Tournament, April 26-28.

The Red Raiders (13-10, 3-4 Big 12) finished the season fifth in the conference and will take on the 4th seeded Oklahoma State Cowboys on Fri., April 26, at 1 p.m. on the Grandstand court at the Texas A&M Tennis Center. The winner of the match will take on the will of the #1 Baylor and #8 Oklahoma match..

Tech will be led into the match by senior Royce Ramey (Richardson, Texas), who finished the season with a 10-7 record in the competitive number one singles slot. Fellow senior Richard Crabtree (Hebden Bridge, England) posted a team high14-6 mark in the one through four slots. Freshman Michael Innerebner (Milan, Italy) in his first year of collegiate tennis went 13-7 in singles action. The Red Raiders dropped a 4-3 decision to the Cowboys in Stillwater last weekend.
