Carvalho, Rojmar Earn NCAA Championships Bids|

LUBBOCK, Texas - A day after learning of the school's third-consecutive NCAA Championships berth, Texas Tech freshman Raony Carvalho earned a bid Wednesday into the singles portion of the national tournament, while he and senior teammate Christian Rojmar will compete in the doubles draw.
The singles and doubles portions of the NCAA Championships run May 20-25 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas. The team competition of the championships will be held a week earlier, May 14-19.
Carvalho is currently ranked No. 41 in the nation in singles after compiling a 13-9 duals record playing primarily the top position. He is one of 48 players across the nation to be selected.
Rojmar and Carvalho combine for the nation's 15th-ranked duo as the two have posted a 13-8 duals record this spring. The tandem will compete against 32 other teams.
The Red Raiders open the first round of the NCAA Championships next weekend, facing Washington at 10 a.m., Fri., May 8, at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center in Austin, Texas.
