LUBBOCK, Texas - The 2010 All-Big 12 tennis teams were announced today by the conference office and Texas Tech was the only school to have three players named All-Big 12 singles as sophomores Raony Carvalho, Gonzalo Escobar and Rafael Garcia all graced the team. Carvalho and Garcia were also named All-Big 12 doubles.

The All-Big 12 tennis teams and postseason awards were voted on by the league's head coaches.

"It's an honor to have our top three players selected All-Big 12, especially since we are the only school in the conference to have three named to the team" said head coach Tim Siegel.

Carvalho (Brazilia, Brazil) earned his second-straight honors in both singles and doubles, while Escobar (Manta, Ecuador) and Garcia (Ribeirao Preto, Brazil) are both first-time recipients.
