LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team is sending three student-athletes to compete in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. Raony Carvalho, Gonzalo Escobar and Rafael Garcia will be representing the Red Raiders.

The singles and doubles portions of the NCAA Championships run May 26-31 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., hosted by the University of Georgia.

Heading into the championships, Carvalho is currently ranked No. 17 and Escobar is No. 37. Carvalho and Escobar were two of the 64 players selected for the singles draw. The two players have almost identical records in duals this spring as Carvalho owns a 19-6 record, while Escobar is 18-5.

Carvalho and Garcia are the 17th-ranked duo in the country with a 12-9 record in duals this year. The pair will compete against 31 other teams.
