LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head men's tennis coach Tim Siegel has announced his program's schedule for the 2009-10 academic year. The Red Raiders will host 10-home matches this season.

Tech will compete in four tournaments in the fall before starting dual matches in January 2010. The Red Raiders hit the road for six-straight matches beginning with a trip to Las Vegas to face UNLV (Jan. 23) and San Diego State (Jan. 24). Next they will head to Austin, Texas, for the first and second rounds of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Tech faces California in the first round (Jan. 30) and either Texas or Middle Tennessee State in the second round (Jan. 31). Matches at TCU (Feb. 19) and versus Wisconsin in College Station, Texas, (Feb. 20) wrap-up the first six contests.

The home portion of the schedule begins with Denver (Feb. 26) and Arizona (Feb. 28).

Tech starts the month of March by competing in the HEB Tournament of Champions Classic (Mar. 5-6) with hopes to defend its 2009 title. The Red Raiders then return home to host a doubleheader with New Mexico State and Abilene Christian (Mar. 14).

The prestigious Blue Gray National Tennis Classic is once again on the schedule as Tech travels to Montgomery, Ala., March 18-21, to play some of the top teams in the country.

Up next will be a six-match homestand, which ends the non-conference portion of the schedule and starts Big 12 Conference play, as UTSA (Mar. 26), New Mexico (Mar. 28), Fresno State (Mar. 29), Texas (Apr. 3), Nebraska (Apr. 9) and Texas A&M (Apr. 11), all come to Lubbock.

The Red Raiders finish Big 12 action with matches at Oklahoma State (Apr. 16), Oklahoma (Apr. 18) and Baylor (Apr. 24).

The Big 12 Championships will be held April 30-May 2, in Austin, Texas.
