LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team is set to start its official fall season this weekend, Sept. 19-21, at the New Mexico State Tournament in Las Cruces, N.M. The tournament is set to host Texas Tech, the University of New Mexico and Northern Arizona University.

"I am looking forward to our first tournament and think this will be a good chance to see our new players in action" stated head coach Tim Siegel. Siegel has only two returning players this year and six newcomers. "So far, I have been pleased with our work ethic and am eager to see how they play in the tournament."

The tournament consists of one draw with each player guaranteed five single matches and four doubles matches. Tournament play begins on Friday, Sept. 19 and will continue throughout Saturday and conclude on Sunday, Sept. 21.
