The Texas Tech men's tennis team will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, this weekend to participate in the ITA Region VI tournament, Fri., Oct. 27 through Mon., Oct. 30 at the Bayard Friedman Tennis Center.

The tournament will include 16 teams, four from the Big 12 conference. Joining Tech from the conference will be Baylor, Texas and Texas A&M.

The Red Raiders are taking three players to compete in singles play, Patricio Espinosa, Clay Estes and Borut Martincevic. Espinosa and Estes will team-up to play doubles while Martincevic and walk-on player Chris Drumm will face competition for the first time in doubles action together.

Sophomore Estes will enter the final play for the fall season this weekend with a 4-1 record. Senior co-captain Martincevic will make his final appearance in the ITA tournament. Estes and Espinosa will begin singles play on Friday at noon. Martincevic starts an hour later at 1:00 p.m.

"All three players played well last weekend (Midland Invitational). This is the most important tournament of the fall season," said head coach Tim Siegel. "I like to see them play well this weekend and close the fall season on a good note."
