SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Texas Tech men's tennis players Raony Carvalho and Christian Rojmar will begin play in the doubles main draw Thursday in the ITA National Indoor Championships held at the University of Virginia.

The duo will face Austen Childs and Simon Childs of Louisville at 11 a.m. with the winner advancing to face either the third-seeded team of Jamie Hunt and Nate Shnugg of Georgia or Amau Brugues and Phil Stevens of Tulsa. Each doubles team is guaranteed at least three matches in the tournament.

Carvalho and Rojmar advanced to the indoor championships by advancing to the semifinals of the ITA All-American Championships in October.

The National Indoor Championships signal the end to the Red Raiders' spring season. Tech opens the 2009 year Jan. 30 in Tulsa, Okla. against LSU.
