Aaron Uzzell has become a fixture within the Red Raider football program with more than 15 years of coaching Texas Tech student-athletes as of the 2011-12 season.
A 1997 graduate of Texas Tech with a degree in Exercise Sport Science, Uzzell began his career as a student assistant under legendary football coach Spike Dykes. Over the years Uzzell has installed innovative training regimens for Red Raider student-athletes from every sport.
He is responsible for assisting in the development of strength and conditioning programs for the football program. Additionally, Uzzell oversees the nutritional program for football and works in conjunction with the Compliance office to ensure that student-athletes are receiving the proper supplemental support as allowed by the NCAA.
Uzzell's path to a successful career at Texas Tech began upon graduation in 1992 from Sanford Fritch High School. He has his MSCC, master strength and conditioning coach, certification thru the CSCCa and has earned the RSCC*D through the NSCA.
Uzzell and his wife, Amy, are the proud parents of twin boys, Aiden and Archer, and daughter, Allie.
