Lady Raiders Defeat Lithuania In Final Exhibition

LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Texas Tech Lady Raiders won their second and final pre-season game as they defeated Lithuania 94-55 in an exhibition game at the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum.

Leading the Lady Raiders in scoring was Alicia Thompson who had 23 points. Rene Hanebutt contributed 19 points. Thompson and Hanebutt each had seven rebounds.

Lithuania's only lead was in the first half when they led 5-4. Julie Lake put Tech ahead 6-5, and the Lady Raiders never looked back.

The leading scorer for Lithuania was Loreta Caldikiene with 22, while Birute Buthute added 17.

The Lady Raiders begin the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 23 as they host Lamar in their season opener. Game time is 2 p.m.
