Before becoming a Lady Raider: 1999 graduate of Class 5A Kingwood High School...As a senior: Team was 31-5 and ranked No. 1 in the region most of the season...ranked as high as third in the state during the year...lost in regional quarterfinals in overtime thriller...won Barbers Hill Christmas Tourney...named the All-Greater Houston Player of the Year...named Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Player of the Year...was the Gatorade "Circle of Champions" Texas High School Player of the Year...selected as the Texas Girls Coaches Association Player of the Year...selected Most Valuable Player of District 22-5A...named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Star Game...MVP of the Texas Girls Coaches All-Star game...received numerous other awards during the year...averaged 23.2 points per game, which led the All-Greater Houston Area...averaged 5.3 assists and 4.4 steals per contest...led the state in three-point field goal percentage at 47 percent...shot 92 percent from the free throw line...scored a career-high 34 points and hit a career-best seven three-point baskets...played on same team as current Tech teammate Plenette Pierson.

While Playing AAU: Played summer basketball for the Houston Hoops...won numerous tournaments and advanced to the Final Eight at Nationals as a junior...invited to the Nike All-American Camp and WBCA select camp...named MVP at the Nike End of the Trail Tournament...played with current Tech teammates Jamie Nagle and Plenette Pierson.

Personal: Full name is Courtney Pastner...born 3-10-81 in Princeton, N.J....parents are Hal and Marla Pastner...both father and mother are Rider College graduates...has an older brother, Josh, who plays basketball at Arizona and was a member of the 1997 NCAA Championship team...has a younger brother, Austin...was a member of the National Honor Society...hobbies include working out, drawing and playing basketball...high school coach was Angela Gober...majoring in communications/advertisement.
