Texas Tech junior guard Amber Battle scored a career-high 32 points on Tuesday night vs. Kansas State. It was the first time a Lady Raider scored 30 points or more in a game since Patrice Edwards scored 33 against Baylor on Feb. 7, 2007.

BATTLE FROM THE LINE

Texas Tech junior guard Amber Battle was 11 of 13 (84.6 percent) from the free-throw line on Tuesday night vs. Kansas State. That is the most free throws made in a game by a Lady Raider this season.

SPEARS IN DOUBLE FIGURES

Texas Tech freshman guard Minta Spears scored 12 points on Tuesday night vs. Kansas State – the most for her in Big 12 Conference play. Spears hit her first 3-pointer in Big 12 play and first in her last 25 attempts since hitting a three in the second half vs. Abilene Christian on Dec. 22.

IMPROVED SHOOTING

Texas Tech was 21 of 51 (41.2 percent) from the field on Tuesday night vs. Kansas State. That’s the highest field goal percentage for Texas Tech in Big 12 Conference play this season (six games).
