Lady Raiders pull away from Baylor in 65-48 win|

LUBBOCK, Tx - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders pulled away from Baylor in the closing minutes of a physical game to defeat the Lady Bears 65-48 Saturday night at Lubbock Municipal Coliseum.
Julie Lake made five free-throws in the final 1:13 to cap off a 15-2 run in the last three minutes of the game. Lake led all scorers with 21 points, including 15 of 16 free-throws, in just 23 minutes of play.
Texas Tech trailed 30-27 two minutes in the second half before the Lady Raiders went on a 10-0 run that gave them a 37-27 advantage and control of the game.
Angie Braziel and Cara Gibbs joined Lake in double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively.
Texas Tech shot just 35 percent from the field in the game but got 24 points from the free-throw to Baylor's 10.
The Lady Raiders ran their season record to 19 wins and two losses, and 8-1 in Big 12 play. Texas Tech travels to play Texas in Austin on Saturday, February 6 and returns to Lubbock the following Wednesday to face Texas A&M.
