Texas Tech Women's Hoops Tops Aggies 90-65

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Alicia Thompson scored scored 20 of her 26 points in the second half, helping No. 7 Texas Tech beat Texas A&M 90-65 Saturday.

The Lady Raiders (18-4, 11-1 Big 12) got 14 points apiece from Rene Hanebutt and Keitha Dickerson, 11 from Angie Braziel and 10 from Julie Lake as they won for the 11th time in 13 games.

Texas A&M (6-16, 2-10) was within 56-50 with 13:40 left when Thompson led a 15-8 run. The Lady Aggies would get no closer and trailed by as many as 28 at one stage.

Kera Alexander led A&M with 20 points. Prissy Sharpe scored 13, Kim Tarkington 11 and Brandy Jones 10.

Thompson, who also had eight rebounds, hit 10-of-13 field goals and all six of her free throws.
