LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders never trailed the Missouri Tigers Saturday night at Lubbock Municipal Coliseum, but the Lady Raiders had to survive a late push by Missouri to defeat the Tigers 74-68.

Texas Tech jumped out to a 17-0 lead to start the game and led by as many as 22 points in the second half before the Tigers came charging back. The Tigers cut the Tech lead to two points by the three-minute mark and got within two again with 21 seconds remaining in the game.

But Melinda Schmucker and Rene Hanebutt each knocked down a pair of free throws in the final 18 seconds to ice the win for Texas Tech.

Angie Braziel led all scorers in the game with 28 points. Rene Hanebutt was the only other Lady Raider in double-figures with 18 points.

Texas Tech moved its season record to 21-3, 10-2 in the Big 12 with the win. The Lady Raiders play Oklahoma State Wednesday in Lubbock and go on the road to take on Nebraska next Sunday.
