MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Texas Tech redshirt freshman Minta Spears scored 14 points and freshman Marina Lizarazu added 13 but Kansas State came away with a 60-54 win on Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum.

Spears scored 14 points for the second straight game while Lizarazu had her first points in three games and fifth game in double figures this season.

Tech (6-19, 0-14 Big 12) found itself in a back-and-forth battle with K-State for much of the game before an 8-0 run late in the second half gave the Lady Raiders its largest lead at 54-48 with 4:12 to play.

Spears and Lizarazu jumpstarted the second half by hitting three, 3-pointers after Tech went 0-for-6 behind the arc in the first half.

K-State (10-14, 4-9) then went on a 12-0 run in the final four minutes of the game while Tech missed its last three shots and turned the ball over four times.

Tech senior forward Haley Schneider scored a career-high eight points and continued her streak of games with a blocked shot (9) with her 43rd on Saturday.

The Lady Raiders will have the next week off before they play their "Play 4 Kay" game and take on No. 12 Oklahoma State (19-4, 8-4) at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25.
