LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Jordan Murphree scored 17 points, all in the second half, as Texas Tech beat Kansas 65-61 on Wednesday night.

Kansas led 35-23 with 19:27 to play in the second half. But Texas Tech (15-11, 3-9 Big 12) used a 15-0 run to take the lead and win for the first time since Jan. 26.

The Lady Raiders, who had lost five straight, avoided what would have been their longest losing streak since 1978. They also extended their winning streak over Kansas (15-10, 4-8) to nine games. Dominic Seals had 16 points for Texas Tech.

The Jayhawks had four players in double figures, led by Krysten Boogaard's 17. Danielle McCray added 15. Murphree was 0-3 from the field in the first half, but finished the game 6-11.

She scored five straight during Tech's second half run to pull the Lady Raiders within a point. Then Maria Moore stole an inbounds pass on the Jayhawks' next possession and converted a three-point play to give the Lady Raiders the lead, 39-37, with 14:13 to play.

Tech led by as many as 11.

Kansas' Ivana Catic and Nicollette Smith hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Smith a pair of three free throws to cut the lead to three with less than minute to play. But Murphree capped her night with a driving layup with 20 seconds left to seal the win for Texas Tech.
