Women's Basketball Smothers Colorado, 80-49|

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Angie Braziel scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds Wednesday as No. 6 Texas Tech beat Colorado 80-49 in the second round of the Big 12 women's basketball tournament.
Alicia Thompson added 21 points and five rebounds for Texas Tech (23-4).
The Lady Raiders used a 25-4 first-half run to take a 38-17 lead. The Buffaloes (12-16) trailed 46-30 at halftime.
Colorado then scored just two points over a seven-minute span. The Lady Raiders held the 1997 conference tournament champions to 19 second-half points, and just six in the final 11 minutes.
Kami Carmann led Colorado with 12 points and La Shena Graham had 10.
